About this team
Inbound logistics Global origin team is overseeing the Global Transportation from manufacturing factory locations in asia to distribution center locations worldwide including North America, Europe, and asia. The goal for the team is to ensure every shipment will be handover at origins on schedule, booked to depart from origin and hit our DCs on time for our business needs.
A day in the life:
- Accountable of daily operations, he/she Is able to provide clear operations direction to the entire team operations.
- Capable to communicate and escalate to line manager who might be working remotely or not at the same time zone.
- Support global strategic direction and initiatives by driving and changing process effectively.
- Spot on potential risk and design mitigation plan
- Initiate in-region strategic goals and drive change management with all stakeholders.
- Lead optimization opportunities in all origins within region.
- Lead, elevate and monitor factory performance and efficiencies.
- Support training, growth and development of the team, both new and current teammates
- 10 years plus working experience in logistic operations including certain exposure on people management, proven accomplishment on problem solving
- University graduate in logistics management or related disciplines is preferred.
- Experience in the regional logistics department of a major Business Cargo Owner or Global Transportation Company
- Computer literate, comfortable to prepare presentations and lead project rollout/implementation
- Understanding and experience in usage of Info Nexus or equivalent
- An understanding and practical knowledge of retail environment and international transportation
- Excellent command of both written and spoken in English and Mandarin
