Senior Document Control (Kristiansand S) [Norway]

We are looking for an experienced Document Controller for the Document Control department at NOV Norway. The group supports various departments within Drilling, Aftermarket and Marine & Construction.

At Document Control you will work closely with internal and external parties to successfully deliver Projects to our customers. The position reports to the Manager for Document Control, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Close cooperation with Project Management team and Engineers
• Create and maintain Project documentation and participate on workflows
• Responsible for the daily flow of documentation to/from customers, sub-suppliers, collaborating partners and classification societies in an accurate and timely manner
• Documentation status reporting and follow-up activities
• Assist Project with planning and follow up on information management activities and documentation status
• Participate in internal and external activities related to documentation
• Be part of testing and development of programs and functions used by Document Control
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (Professional/Technical diploma preferred)
• Relevant experience could compensate for lack of education

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English and Norwegian
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
• Ability to evaluate alternatives and make decisions within established procedures
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of work methods inside the group
• You need to be flexible and have problem solving skills and be able to focus on our customers’ various needs
• Motivated and interested in learning new skills
• You must also be able to multitask efficiently and keep track of deadlines
• Good knowledge in Microsoft Office programs
