Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of four to six years of professional administrative experience in customer service operations, outreach programs, social services programs, community engagement services, animal or kennel shelter programs, or related fields are required.

Recruitment Notes


This position manage supervisors and oversee a staff of 80+ employees for the kennel operations and shelter intake programs. This position provides for animal care, maintenance, disease control, animal handling & assessment, and responds to urgent operational needs impacting staff, volunteers, the public and animals in the shelter. This position also strategically manages the population movement and necessary euthanasia performed with state laws and local ordinance. The position is responsible for procurement and human resources functions for the division. The position will operate with broad discretion/decision making authority. This position will also coordinate closely with Veterinarians for treatment and animal management plus have the ability to use data to make decisions and show progress towards strategic goals.
