We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back-End Software Engineer with expertise in web video streaming technologies, such as Mediasoup, Janus, Pion, and other similar frameworks. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end infrastructure and systems that power our video streaming platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-quality video streaming experiences for our users.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the back-end infrastructure and systems for our web video streaming platform.
- Implement and optimize video streaming solutions using frameworks like Mediasoup, Janus, Pion, etc.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate video streaming capabilities into our web applications.
- Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance APIs and services for video streaming functionalities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the stability and performance of the video streaming infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to enhance scalability, efficiency, and security.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in web video streaming technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our video streaming platform.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Back-End Software Engineer with a focus on web video streaming technologies.
- Strong expertise in video streaming frameworks such as Mediasoup, Janus, Pion, or similar.
- Proficient in programming languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar back-end languages.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of network protocols, specifically related to real-time communication and video streaming.
- Knowledge of scalable and distributed systems architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with WebRTC and related technologies.
- Experience with video codecs and transcoding.
- Knowledge of media server architectures.
- Understanding of security protocols and best practices in video streaming.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₦1,750,000.00 - ₦2,500,000.00 per month
